Alright, I have no idea why would he possibly do such thing, but here it goes…
On August 21, 2019, minerjones made a post in Collectibles, offering a posters by PJ O’Rourke called HODL Your Horses for 50 USD.
On September 28, 2020, he bumped it, because they were still available.
In description he said that 50 BTC prints were made and there was a picture of a print 47/50.
Incidentally, I am aware of current sale of the similar numbered prints on eBay (not my sale), but in edition of 18 total. These are red and black (two separate editions of 18), while that of minerjones is sort of orange.
Since I thought this could be of interest to potential buyers, I posted this comment in minerjones’s thread:
Quote: Just a note – there appear to be two other original runs – red and black (of 18 prints):
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crypto-Mixed-Art-BTC-Cryptocurrency-Art-By-Artist-PJ-ORourke-NUMBERED-3-18/233375526431
Thing is, that if you are buying a numbered print, you probably think of it also as an investment. If you just like the picture, you can still buy it (signed) for marginally less (40 USD):
https://flyelyfe.com/collections/world-class-prints/products/hodl-your-horses-print
But if you are thinking of an investment, you should be probably aware that your “original run” might not be the only one – though I have no idea if the red and black runs preceded the orange run offered by minerjones or the other way around – that would probably decide which run is more valuable.
What happend, was that minerjones promptly deleted the original thread and archived it:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5177682.msg55278766#msg55278766
And made a new, same thread (with no mention of the black and red runs), but this time self-moderated:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278745.msg55279139#msg55279139
So again, I posted the same comment there. And as I thought, it was immediately deleted by minerjones.
Later, even my original comment, in the now archived thread, was removed by a mod, which makes me kinda think even this thread will be probably removed by the same person.
After this I sent personal message to minerjones (on September 28):
Quote: Do I understand correctly that you intentionally deleted my comment (and original thread before that), so that potential buyers are unaware of a circumstances that might be devaluating your offer? Which was left unaswered to this moment, eventhough he was online and made other comments here later.
Again, I have no personal agenda doing this; I am aware minerjones does some escrows here, but I have never dealt with him, nor talked with him.
I am not calling him a fraud, but to me, this constitutes intentional dishonest bahaviour.
PS: I will delete this if anyone here comes with a reasonable explanation why the hell would he do this…
I mean it’s not even that much money, he regularly deals with much more expensive items.I really don’t get it..
