I’ve enjoyed reading through a the theme collections; there are certainly many great choices! It’s almost overwhelming! I’m looking for a couple of recommendations for a IT/Architecture/Programming blog.Something that integrates well with social-media sites would be great for obvious reasons, and plugins are particularly useful for IT blogs.
(Any thoughts about those would be helpful as well! )

This is very informative! I have had so much trouble trying to customise themes (bought and free themes) From my perspective a lot of themes aren’t user friendly for a beginner and the support is terrible, A part from free themes I have bought and tried to customise Divi and evolve without any success.
Are there actually any themes easy to customise for a writing/photography blog out there? Easy customising is a must along with something that is impressive ( sliders ) and with the add ins of a check out ( for ebooks ).social icons..Seo and image slider that allows for written content.This is my last avenue of seeking help before I do what I don’t want to do and that is ‘pay someone big money to set up’ well, I say big money because that’s what I’ve been told with inquiries I’ve made.Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance!

I may or may not need a youtube channel integration.I like a clean design interface but one that can help me achieve the things I’ve listed herein.What is the best theme for my purposes? The choices are overwhelming and I don’t know enough about the technology to know what pitfalls to avoid and what themes have really good coding I can depend on.

Great list of stylish wp themes.I’m interested in a design like that in Crystal, where the post is highlighted at the top and the subsequent posts are listed below.
Clean, minimal yet stylish and modern.I would also like a fast loading website (Crystal didn’t seem perform well on Google Pagespeed Insights).Can you recommend another theme similar to Crystal but also fast loading, with the feature post on top design? I guess I could modify the codes as Insights suggest but I’m a newbie coder.

Great list of WordPress themes, however, can you suggest if the Hello World or another theme is simple enough and would not require a broad base of knowledge to get up and running and manage.
I want to focus on content and not becoming a website programmer.

I am looking for a WP theme as I am starting a blog about fitness, nutrition and lifestyle.I want more of a list presentation for posts with a top bar and right bar for featured content/sign up/ads.I would also like the option of putting a sign up bar into the posts texts and in other parts of the site.
Could you advise me with a theme that is clear yet dynamic and that allows: comments, payments, links to download contents, video integration.Of course, I want it to be fast, responsive and SEO optimized.

You are really doing a great job, and I hope you can help me too.
I would like to start a blog, but I’m new in this field.I have browsed through the different themes and can’t make up my mind.My blog is to be dedicated to creative presents.I am not going to sell or advertise merchandise but write about presents that I have received or prepared for others, to inspire people.So stories will be the core, and photos will be just to catch attention (I am thinking of a main one for each article and optional ones to illustrate certain ideas).I want each article to consist of a heading, a lead, the main body and a “technicalities” section, which is to unfold only when requested (like the “read more” button, but I will need two for each article).
Also, can I divide separate parts of a text with a border of my own? I’m thinking of a line of gift boxes between the lead and the main body, and between the main body and the technicalities.
The other things I will need are probably standard: article categories, comments (readers should be able to attach files – mostly photos, to their comments) and a carousel with random articles from the archive.I also want to blog in two languages and have icons of flags in the top right corner to switch from one to the other.
As regards themes, I quite like Drop Shipping (but I would rather have a carousel with random posts than a list of most recent ones in the box on the right).But frankly speaking the only thing I am sure of regarding layout is that I need two columns.As regards the style, I don’t think it should be too elegant or posh.
I aim for creativity.
I hope that it isn’t too much, and you will be able to advise me.

I like colours and vivid style, but don’t want it to be too casual or childlike.

Hi! I am using the activello theme currently on my website.I do love the simplicity of it.I also love the lay out of everything.
I have a cooking + life style/mommy blog- so I was looking for something with a little more “umph” Mostly I want to be able to change the colors and font/font sizes.I am still playing around with this theme, and while I truly like it.I wish there was more that I was able to customize myself without having to mess with html.Any suggestions on a different theme or help with the current one that I am using.

The thing I am finding is that I get stuck in a comfort zone when it comes to certain themes.I find one with a good backend interface…many options..then I get in a rut.Yet I find myself spending 90 minutes a week searching for new ones 🙂 I need to get out more!

Have just set up site using WP 4.9 / Bluehost.
Looking for a blog theme that has maximum font / colour and formatting options, will support pics, has multiple gallery options, supports sound (very important) and video.Also want it to be advertisement-ready.Major problem I’m having is that I want to collect and collate opinions and stories from readers; their ideas and responses to numerous topics.Ideally 3 at once featured on a static home page.I don’t know if there’s an additional plug in I’d need to be able to do such a thing, or whether some of these themes listed have decent widgets I could use for this purpose? I have some experience using website back-ends but no coding knowledge.

First of all, I’ll like to commend you on the comprehensiveness of the list.This is an amazing list with a lot of viable options to choose from.
I am looking to design an inspirational website/blog that is very responsive and has the necessary plugins for social media(youtube included if possible), contact form, signing up for Newsletter, with capability of adding further plugins(if the need arises), with options as to how to format the look of the pages
It’s going to include a lot from interview and travel articles and this will require a great deal of pictures and the upload of videos (or the viewing of youtube videos on specific pages on the website).
Due to this i’d like something that is big on organization of all this while still maintaining(or at least trying to) a minimalistic feel.
Finally, I dont really understand how the pricing of themes work because I’m new to this, but I’ll prefer a theme where it’s a one time payment and you dont have add-on costs creeping up somewhere down the line.
The themes that I seem most drawn to are Olsen, The Camille, Brixton Lounge, Cheerup, The Voux, CrazyBlog, InFashion and Josephine.If you have any better recommendation that you thing might suit my need better I’ll really appreciate it.

I used to crazylife blog theme for 2 years.It has pure user interface and usability but it has not compatible essential SEO plugins like yoast seo.Therefore i have changed my blog theme as Literatum Theme on envato, themeforest.net
Literatum is medium.com like website and the theme is made for readibility.I have seen it in a theme review.
It has lots of features and also compatible most SEO plugins.
On colorlib, i want to see more deeply theme reviews for blogging themes.

Now i was wondering: i want to make a subdomain on my main website and make the blog on a fully new website.So when people click on “blog” they will be redirected to the blog subdomain.
I want a theme that has the same “look and feel” as my website so that user won’t realise they are on a different website.So can you give some advice for a theme that is easy to work with, but also easily customized to make it look like my own website…

I need help selecting a new theme for my blog/website…I would love something similar to ThePioneerWoman.com as I post a wide variety of content including recipes that I would like to organize by category, fundraising efforts through the Alzheimer’s Association, a gallery of quilts I have made, book reviews, samples/chapters from books that I am working on (and of course never sending to agents or publishers…), and personal thoughts and stories about our family.I have had the same theme since I began blogging several years ago, and I want to revamp, unveil a new look, and start blogging much more consistently.Although I have been posting for a while now, I still feel like a newbie in terms of jargon, tricks, tools, and the “things” that make blogging successful.

I am trying to launch my wedding blog, but haven’t found a user-friendly theme I love enough to settle on.Do you know of any or if any of the themes you’ve mentioned in this article offer something similar to that of avada’s fusion builder? I love their drag and drop features and the ease of use is great, I just don’t love their initial layouts.Thanks!

1) Website to showcase pictures and potentially using them as entry to become a professional photographer (Themes maybe: Soledad?, Breviter Pro, Morning time, Amory, Introfolk)
2) Website to share experiences around people development, time management, etc (Jevelin?, Writing?, Shasta, Josephine)
3) Website with my own name focus on a summary of what I do, an about.me like website.

The intro states: Though there are WordPress themes that you can use for free, don’t rule out the premium themes.
But you really should make it very clear that the article is about premium themes ONLY.It would have saved me a lot of time and disappointment.

I have never used Onetone, so I couldn’t offer a comparison.
Divi though is a base theme that has a page builder, that while quite powerful, can be quite bloated (and once you start using it, you can’t walk away from it do to all the codes it puts in the page content.

I love this list as I do with all the others I’ve read but while reading a question was raised.Would it suffice to use any theme then remove the services and service related page and make the blog/posts page and then it serves as a blog? I know there’s a difference between a blog and a website but it still kinda makes it possible to use a website theme for a blog.
Am I overthinking this?

I’m curious if any of these templates have the capability to organize/catalogue blogs that include a rating (given by the author).
I am starting a restaurant blog, and one of the key UX items I have is the ability for the reader to see the restaurants ranked from best to worst, sorted by location, etc.
