Regardless of the origins, the honor has put the spotlight on some very handsome, talented and charitable men through the years, with another to be announced in early November.
As we wait for the news of who this year’s honoree will be, take a look back on the iconic covers through the years, from Gibson on the very first to the most recent featuring Chris Evans .

“This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about,” he said with a laugh.”It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.” The Gray Man star was also bracing for some good-natured ribbing from his close friends.
“Really this will just be a point of bullying,” he jokes.
“It’s ripe for harassment.”
