France has expressed its “exasperation” at Britain’s “anti-gamble” over the situation, which has escalated since the UK’s departure from the European Union .Following the Brexit deal between London and Brussels, EU fishermen have found their access to British waters reduced.Britain must therefore grant them access licenses according to pre-established quotas.

Clement Beaune, the Secretary of State for European Affairs and Emmanuel Macron’s closest aide, expressed his “exasperation” at the situation during a hearing by a committee of the National Assembly.
He added France is trying to press the European Commission on this subject, assuring France had not asked “more” than the respect of the agreements concluded.
Mr Beaune said: “We’ve had to raise our voices in the last few days.We are at the end of patience.”

The plans include a temporary relaxation of visa restrictions to allow over 10,000 workers from the EU to get employment in the UK until Christmas.

The changes are coming into force from Tuesday and will crequire motorists to make changes to their number plate.
Before Brexit, British number plates featured a circle of EU stars with the letters “GB” underneath, enabling people to travel and drive abroad.
The “GB”, designation which had been in place for the past 111 years, is being replaced, and will instead feature the letters “UK” to include Northern Ireland.
The new sticker or magnet can be purchased online, in post offices, or in garages.
Drivers can also apply for a new UK number plate to comply with the latest changes.

The demonstrations took place in Le Havre and Cherbourg, with the group made up predominantly of fishermen.
They claim the win project plans are an ecological disaster, having an impact on both marine biodiversity and their economic activity.
One protester told Europe 1: “They are going to kill everything.They are going to kill an artisanal industry.It’s catastrophic.

Jenny Gilruth, Europe minister with the Scottish Government, raised her concerns about the move in a letter to Therese Coffey.
After the UK left the European Union, EU nationals were given until June 30 to apply for settled status – with this giving them the right to live, work and study in Britain, as well as use the NHS and receive any benefits they might be eligible for.
Ms Gilruth said that after the deadline for applying to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) had passed, the Department for Work and Pensions continued to make social security payments to EU citizens who had not done so.
But, in a letter to the Work and Pensions Secretary, she said she understood that the UK Government is “suspending these payments at the end of September and discontinue them completely from the end of October”.
