Home / SmartTech / Chipping, scalability, decentralization – you name it, we have it on the EC stage in Berlin – TechCrunch Chipping, scalability, decentralization – you name it, we have it on the EC stage in Berlin – TechCrunch Google + Sharding and scalability.Transactions per second.Crypto ecosystems. The decentralized web. These are the trips of the Starship Blockchain on their 5 year mission to find them … Ok, you understand what’s going on! But as you can see, in this burgeoning new technology world there are still many, many problems to solve, which we will unpack this December at the Techcrunch Disrupt Berlin.
There are still many issues we need to address. The current version of Ethereum can handle only a dozen transactions per second.”Sharding” or distributing the load through partitioning should result in a dramatic increase in performance, but the question is how to do it? Ethereum 2.0 remains a moving target. There is even a growing “Ethereum Killer” community.

And as this continues, high-level organizations like the Web3 Foundation are trying to foster the development of a user-friendly crypto-ecosystem and a decentralized web.
Who in the world would do it all? Of course, TechCrunch Berlin and especially our extra-crunch-phase disturb.
Since launching Extra Crunch, our premium content service for readers who like to keep TechCrunch nearby and cuddle up at night, we operate a premium EC.Since Berlin is a stronghold of blockchain startups and development, that would be It’s totally wrong for us not to handle this issue, but the extra-crunch stage is there. We have extra bandwidth (oh yeah!) to give attendees deep insights into this fast-growing tech industry.
We are pleased to speak with three fantastic speakers about the latest developments in the blockchain world.
Justin Drake (Ethereum) Justin studied mathematics at the University of Cambridge. He was a Bitcoin entrepreneur from 201 4 to 2017 and is now an Ethereum 2.0 researcher.
Justin will report on where Ethereum 2.0 is currently being, as one who works on sharding and scalability and supports the Ethereum ecosystem to enable this These new use cases.
Because the current version of Ethereum can handle only a dozen transactions per second, sharding will be critical, but Ethereum 2.0 is a moving target and remains an extensive experiment in distributed development.
If the community does it right, Ethereum 2.0 could turn the Ethereum Blockchain into a kind of “world computer” that can execute instructions through a network of servers around the world. On the EC stage, Justin will also talk to other Blockchain experts about setting up a blockchain startup on the Extra Crunch Stage. If anyone knows, he knows how important it is to build a community of developers and researchers around your blockchain project.
Ash Eagan (Accomplice VC) A Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum and Advisor to ConsenSys’ Tachyon Ash Eagan, Accelerator, has backed a number of top companies, including Bison Trails, Coda , CoinList, Dapper Labs, Near, Simplex and Torus.Prior to joining Accomplice, he co-founded ConsenSys’ Venture Arm and began his career at Converge VC in Boston.
Egan has previously highlighted the ongoing innovations in the “Ethereum Killer” community and their “extension of the sandbox”, but also believes that for the mass adoption of Krypto in social networks, users need to be monetized via advertising and referrals.
Ashley Tyson (Web3 Foundation) Ashley Tyson is Director of Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at Web3 Foundation. She spends her time bringing together different teams working on decentralized systems and supporting Blockchain ecosystem initiatives such as Ethereum Community Fund and ETHPrize.
Prior to founding Web3, Ashley co-founded DEFCAD, a censorship-proof search engine for 3D printable files.

She is very aware of the need for a decentralized web and started her career in New York at one of the first agencies to focus on social media. There she helped multinational companies to develop Web 2.0 strategies around collecting consumer data for marketing initiatives.
Disrupt Berlin runs December 11 and December 12 tickets are available here!
