In an attempt that seems to clean its image, the Twitter handle @Bitcoin deleted many tweets against Bitcoin (BTC) and the Lightning Network (LN).At the same time, it has also eliminated other tweets supporting Bitcoin Cash (BCH), a hard fork of the Bitcoin network. The decision to clean its image comes after announcing the official launch of a crypto exchange.Deleting A Controversial Past
When Bitcoin Cash forked from Bitcoin’s main blockchain, the community got divided. On one hand, we had Bitcoin supporters claiming the best way to scale is with off-chain solutions. On the other hand, Bitcoin Cash supporters claimed that Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin as a “Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.” That is, Bitcoin Cash supporters backed the idea of an on-chain scaling solution for Bitcoin rather than off-chain developments.
Although this may seem trivial to many users, this became one of the main discussion issues in the crypto space since these two digital assets decided to take their own paths.
There were some users on Twitter that realized that some things started to change for @Bitcoin.

For example, Alistair Milne, the CIO of Altana Digital Currency Fund, wrote that the @Bitcoin Twitter account deleted many of the tweets it wrote.Looks like the @bitcoin account is purging a lot of their tweets …

Indeed, some of the tweets deleted by @Bitcoin can be seen on the Twitter account @CryptoDeleted, which posts Tweets of different figures and cryptocurrency companies in the space.
One of the Tweets deleted by @Bitcoin reads:
“Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronic cash system.

You can call BTC a cryptocurrency, but it doesn’t work very well as a peer to peer electronic cash anymore.Bitcoin Cash carries on the original spirit of the Bitcoin project.”
Some of the tweets deleted by @Bitcoin were over 5 months old, showing that the handle wants to clean its most controversial tweets.
One of the reasons why @Bitcoin is deleting tweets could be related to the fact that Bitcoin.com has a new CEO, Stefan Rust, that worked in the past as director of corporate and business development of Bitcoin.com.

At the moment, he is focusing on new products and solutions for Bitcoin.com.
At the same time, Bitcoin.com is planning to launch a new cryptocurrency exchange that aims at satisfying digital currency veterans and newcomers.
Finally, Charlie Lee, the founder of Litecoin (LTC), wrote on Twitter that he thinks the owner of @Bitcoin must have had a “romantic relationship with Roger Ver and recently broke up” with him.I have no proof of this, but I think the owner of @bitcoin must have had a romantic relationship with Roger Ver and recently broke up with Roger.

That’s the only thing that can explain why @bitcoin stopped supporting BCH.
