There’s no denying it, it’s 2020 and DEF CON 28 will be here before we know it, so let’s get this party started.All of the insanely awesome DEF CON events don’t materialize out of thin air, so that’s where YOU come in.We’re looking for content.New ideas, old ideas, or a new spin on old ideas.

The Call for EVERYTHING is now open! Contests, Events, Villages, Parties, Talks, Workshops, Vendors, Press, Music…and more! Every year hundreds of dedicated hackers put their heads together and ask themselves one question “How are we going to do it bigger, and better, than last year?”, and every year they do.

That’s fine, come sharpen your skills, or learn entirely new ones, in one of the DEF CON Villages.Lockpicking, Hardware Hacking, Social Engineering, Crypto, and the list goes on.Stay for an hour, or never leave, the choice is yours, and we’re all about choice.Do you have an idea for a DEF CON village? Every night at DEF CON we have multiple rooms throwing parties with people who share the same passions.Belt out your favorite tunes at Hacker Karaoke, play classic arcade games and foosball with Crypto legends, engage in air to air drone battles, or just bounce from room to room to keep the party going till sunrise.We need people who are going to host the events we all enjoy so much.We have a ton of nighttime space for hacker style revelry! If you excel at party, and want to throw one, give us your plan and we’ll get you some space! Call for Parties We have a lot of spaces to fill with groovy sounds, and we want your help.
DJs, shredders, yodelers – if you have what it takes to move the DEF CON crowd, read the rules, fill out the application and show us what you’ve got.Call for Music DEF CON has a soundtrack.Not just the one playing in your head as you navigate the venue in search of more things to hack, either.DEF CON has a real-deal soundtrack full of hot tracks donated by super-cool artists like Information Society, BT, MC Frontalot – and maybe YOU.

Check out the CFP announcement Are you into teaching a few dozen people how to : analyze malware, lockdown techniques, hardware hack, build a badge, disassemble, or crash testing and triage? Does spending a few hours in your professor har sound like something you’d be good at? Then consider applying to give a four hour workshop.Still interested? Good! To get a feel for workshops we’ve accepted in the past and apply, check out the call for workshops page.Call for Workshops What about Demonstrating the tool you spent all year working on? You think you can spend a few hours demonstrating it’s use and why hackers should add it to their arsenal? The DEF CON Demo Lab is a dedicated area for hackers to show off what they have been working on, to answer questions, and even coax attendees into giving feedback on their projects.Presenters will be given a dedicated time and location to present a tool or project of their creation; show what it does, how it works, and why we should add it to our own hacker armory.
