DRIVERS will find a limit in place at hundreds of petrol stations across the country when filling up at the pumps.
EG Group, which runs 389 fuel stops under the BP, Esso and Texaco brand has imposed a limit of £30 per fill up to ensure customers “have a fair chance to refuel”.

A lack of lorry drivers has led to issues getting tankers to forecourts, but there is enough to go around.
Despite the reassurances, queues have been spotted at petrol stations across the country creating long tailbacks in some places.
EG Group said the purchase limit on buying petrol will ensure they can “carry on running smoothly”.
Emergency service vehicles and HGVs will be exempt from the limit “due to their vital role at this time”.
An EG Group spokesperson said: “Due to the current unprecedented customer demand for fuel and associated supply challenges we have taken the decision to introduce a limit of £30 per customer on all of our grades of fuel.”

Where are petrol stations limiting fuel? EG Group runs petrol stations under well-known brand names: BP, Esso, Shell and Texaco.

All the petrol stations with these names run by EG Group now have a £30 fuel limit in place.
But there will be other garages with the same branding that are not imposing the limit because they are run by different companies.
For example Esso has more than 1,000 petrol stations across the country, and there are around 200 run by EG Group which have a limit in place.
