Glasgow’s Lorraine Kelly has lashed out at scammers who continue to use her face to falsely promote their weight loss products.Talking on Good Morning Britain (GMB) today (April 19), the television presenter said she was appalled after finding out adverts were circulating on Facebook of diet products, something she does not approve of.Faces of celebrities have been used without permission to promote similar products before with Martin Lewis, founder of Money Saving Expert, having spoken out about this issue before stating he does not do adverts.READ MORE: Glasgow to welcome Loose Women as first ever live show UK tour is announced The conversation came as the financial guru warned viewers to be vigilant of fraudsters after a Scots woman was conned out of £150,000 by an online ad for crypto currency using his image, reports the Daily Record .During Lorraine’s programme preview on Wednesday, she joined Susanna Reid and Martin via video link when Susanna asked the Glasgow-born star if she’d ever experienced anything similar.Lorraine then replied: “Do you know, I was watching you earlier when you were talking about that – absolutely! “Only yesterday, and I’m not on Facebook, but somebody said on Facebook that there was some ridiculous losing weight nonsense that they put my face on and it’s infuriating isn’t it? It’s infuriating!” Pleading with people at home to be careful and stay safe she added: “Please, please, please do not fall for the scammers! Susanna Reid then clarified: “You do not endorse weight loss products?” to which Lorraine replied: “No, absolutely not.” Susanna shared a story of her own revealing that she was contacted by someone who asked her about her ‘keto pills’ which she does not – and will never endorse.
