GoguenNFT in collaboration with Crypto Supreme on the Goguen Commemorative Coin.An NFT series that c ombines Fine Arts, an oil painting, digital art, Visual Effects, and orchestral music. The collection is a 1000-piece print with variations of the painting that is animated and has it’s own orchestral soundtrack. The reason why we decided to go with a traditional art style was because we see the blockchain age is very similar to the Renaissance, where the banking system is reinvented and artists were benefitted from the patronage of the Midici’s.Cardano, in spirit, is quite similar so we decided to draw parallels and aim to create a piece of art that pools together the work of us over the last 6 months.

Started with an oil painting that is 7ft by 5 ft, which you will see it in the Summit in Wyoming. We carefully designed the elements of the painting to depict the scene of contract signing since the main Alonzo hard fork that brings us into Goguen is the smart contract.

Then we were like, that’s the scene but what’s the spirit? The first answer we had was inspired by Charles’ 2014 TedTalk “The Future Is Decentralized”.Where we are going to bank the unbanked, where everyone is equally treated.

So we included people of all races and dressed them all in white, which strips away the differences in any class or wealth because we are deep down, all different but the same.

So over the past 6 months, Nohelia the painter, John and Brayden the digital artists and I, the composer went down the rabbit hole and just spends all of our time on creating this piece. We first did the Goguen coin design, then oil painting, then we made it into a 4K resolution video and did post production treatments, designed additional assets to create the variations, then wrote the soundtracks and recorded with the orchestra. After the creative process is done we worked with our developer Matt to run a Python to composite all the assets into an image sequence that we can render. This is film and animation but with a huge twist and we enjoy this type of innovative working process.Personal shout out to Crypto Supreme here the past 6 months has been one of the best times that we had creating in our lives.

Then after finishing the piece, we were like, phew this is cool but how can we take it even a step further and utilize the blockchain and hopefully lay some groundwork for the Cardano development. We then realize that because we painted a room, we can create a virtual space by building an engine in Unreal that talks to the blockchain and takes metadata to generate the room differently for each user that holds the NFT based on their metadata.Hopefully we can also expand this tech into live / pre-recorded performance spaces, art galleries, trophy rooms for video games, things that didn’t exist before. We are imagining something in the future like if we can create a digital version of a museum of Zambia to record their history, or like a the Louvre made available for the world to learn where our modern art is from.

Those kinds of ideas just excites me.

Anyways, a little off tangent. What we are hoping to accomplish this project with the GoguenNFT, is to put together seasoned artists and allow us to have creative freedom to create the best art we can together. Then we are building it into interactive VR, and hopefully build the foundation for VR tech support on NFTs.

That’s kind of the whole presentation today for NFT Developments and the Goguen NFT.You can find more about the project on twitter at the handle nftdevelopments or at our website nftdevelopments.io
