The data is given for the latest validation.
To have a smooth and reliable validation ceremony experience, we recommend using VPS or built-in nodes if you have fast Internet connection and good router, or the nodes listed in the node marketplace in the official Idena Web App in other cases.
Reporting performance Over the last 3 epochs, we see a positive growth trend in the number of users who use most of their reports on validations.As a result, the number of reported flips has also increased.More and more people is getting involved in the reporting process.
We started working on a new reporting model which was described in the previous Idena Chronicles (Epoch #82) .The idea is to exclude those who do not report from qualification committees.Thus, the votes of active reporters will weigh more.We expect this change will lead to better reporting performance.
Idena Core Team Development Affiliate program on the Web app Now joining our affiliate program is easier than ever.
We have integrated it into the Web app.
Just go to Settings ->Affiliate program in the Web app, submit the form and share your personal referral link in communities that might be interested in Idena.You’ll get rewards for successfully validated identities who used your link to get an invite in Twitter.

Addressing the offline mining penalty issue During the last epoch the issue of getting false mining penalties has been identified (see https://github.com/idena-network/idena-go/issues/930 ).
As the network gets larger, the probability of a node not being selected in the committee within one hour increases.As a temporary solution we have extended the penalty-free offline period of mining from 60 to 90 mins.This update is included in the last node release 0.28.7.As soon as ⅔ of the network is updated, the change takes effect.
Increasing the size of committee can also solve this issue, however a hard fork is required.Sharding 2.0 will solve this issue permanently as the size of the shards will be capped.
Oracles on the Web app Last epoch we released the Oracles on the Web app to make voting and participating in Idena governance easier for those who have not installed the desktop app for some reasons (for example, they do not have a personal laptop/PC).
When you vote on the Web app, the scheduled transaction is added.With this transaction your secret vote will be published.
The list of scheduled transactions is shown on a Scheduled tab at Wallets page
To make your vote become public you should login to the Web app using the same device and send the scheduled transaction during the counting period of the voting.
Also, you will be notified if you have scheduled transactions to be sent.
Desktop app support when sharing Oracle votings By clicking the oracle link like this: https://app.idena.io/dna/vote?address=0x99ca6af0141abe6140ac20553a69c0c31c3cf4d0 , you can use the Web app or open the desktop app and vote there.

In 2022 we plan to focus on improving network scaling, growing the Idena ecosystem with smart contracts and dApps, and adopt more use cases and integrations such as identity bridging, attention economy, and publication platform.
IIP-3 Voting discrimination IIP-3 about voting discrimation was submitted by our community member @Zen.The idea is to restrict the voting power of pool members who undelegate and identities with newbie status for 2 epochs.The proposal aims to improve network security and prevent vote manipulation by pool owners, especially hard fork votings.
We support the proposal.As it affects the protocol security, we will not run an oracle voting about IIP-3.We will implement these changes in the upcoming hardforks.
IIP-4 Quadratic staking Idena core team received many requests from the community to add percentage yield to the identity stake and allow stake replenishment.This can make iDNA coin more attractive for investors and reduce inflation by locking coins in stakes.
However, since the traditional (linear) staking model leads to inequality because large coin holders can extract the major part of the profits from staking, we offer quadratic staking reward schemes that are free of capital bias.

The 1st sybil-resistant AMA: Idena network leveraged for the Amasa AMA
Following Amasa x Idena partnership, an AMA with the Amasa team was organized on Idena Discord.Thanks to Idena integration, it was possible to hold the first human AMA, bot-less and sybil-resistant.Genuine questions from the Idena validated identities allowed great conversations compared to some more classic AMA, bloated with generic questions.

Quadratic staking: Make your voice count
Core devs have started an IIP thread regarding the implementation of quadratic staking in Idena, a refined way to establish equitable staking.
This is an important step for Idena Network and a clear innovative proposal.As such, everyone is encouraged to participate and raise their opinion, concerns or suggestions.You can directly participate in the Github thread https://github.com/idena-network/idena-docs/discussions/69 , and brainstorm beforehand on Discord (with many people who are currently sharing their thoughts).
