SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio Suspicion: Princeton Boulevard A Cleveland Heights resident reported at 2:45 a.m.Sept.20 that two boys who had been trying to enter vehicles at that city were entering South Euclid.Responding officers from both cities detained the boys in separate locations.The boy, 15, detained in South Euclid was found in possession of a gun and other criminal tools.He was later released to his mother with charges pending in juvenile court.

Disturbance: Colony Road A landscaper reported Sept.20 that a car struck his leaf blower while he was in the roadway blowing grass clippings and leaves.Officers spoke with the driver of the car, who said the man stepped out into the street and struck her car with the leaf blower.The incident was documented.Fraud: Haywood Road A man, 70, said Sept.20 that he was scammed out of $20,000 after responding to a notification on his computer that appeared to be from Microsoft.

He called a given number and was told his bank account had been hacked and a fraudulent purchase was made for $20,000 worth of crypto currency, which was then used to purchase online pornography.He was told he would need to buy the same amount of crypto to nullify the fraudulent purchase.He subsequently was directed to a gas station in Cleveland with a crypto ATM and did as requested before discovering he had been scammed.Suspicion: Warrensville Center Road Officers responded to Walmart Sept.

20 for a report of some youths in ski masks trying to enter vehicles in the parking lot.Five suspects were seen and fled on foot, but one was detained.The boy, 12, was subsequently turned over to his father at his Cleveland Heights home.Recovered stolen vehicle: Warrensville Center Road After a license plate reading camera alerted on a stolen vehicle Sept.21, officers located the van in the Walmart parking lot and arrested a Pennsylvania man, 34.

He was charged and turned over to Woodmere police in connection with the stolen van.Suspicion: Wyncote Road A man, 65, said Sept.21 that he received a call from an unknown person who told him his name was found on a dating website along with his driver’s license number.

He said he did not post to any websites and the woman did not provide her name.The incident was documented in case of future fraud involving his identity.Disorderly conduct: Warrensville Center Road Officers responded to Walmart Sept.22 for a report of a woman who had threatened and tried to attack an employee and had to be restrained by other employees.They learned the Cleveland Heights woman, 33, was a temporary employee who felt the other woman was harassing her.Upon review of surveillance video, it was determined that she would be cited for disorderly conduct.

Burglary: Francis Court Around 4:30 a.m.Sept.

24, a resident reported an attempted burglary in which someone had tried to enter her home from a second-floor window.Responding officers did not locate a suspect but found that a trash can had been moved outside the home to help access the second-floor window.Theft: Mayfield Road Two boys had their motorized scooters stolen from the McDonald’s parking lot Sept.

24 while they were inside the business.The suspects are also believed to be two boys.The incident is under investigation.Theft: Warrensville Center Road Walmart loss prevention said Sept.25 that four shoplifters fled when employees tried to detain them as they were leaving the store.Responding officers helped detain one of the suspects, a 15-year-old girl.She would subsequently spit at officers on scene and in the face of another while being booked at the station.

Charges are pending in juvenile court.Aggravated menacing: Felton Road Around 7 p.m.Sept.
