imageA thrilling South Korean drama could be set to follow in the footsteps of the blockbuster success of Squid Game .Ten-part Netflix series Extracurricular follows the lives of four Korean teenagers who are each members of the fictional ‘Doggo’ app, which works as an online escort service. The programme, which is packed full of bloody violence and gore, features Oh Ji-soo, played by Kim Dong-hee, who runs the illegal prostitution business through internet chatrooms using the name ‘Uncle’, as he attempts to keep his identity secret. It becomes more difficult for Ji-soo after his classmates Seo Min-hee, played by Jung Da Bin, and Bae Gyu-ri, portrayed by Park Joo-Huun, begin to work for him, and chaos ensues as the teenagers are plunged into the bloody world of sex work, trafficking and violence. The series bears shocking similarities to the Nth Room case, which was a major news story in South Korea last year after an infamous online chat room that lured young women, including minors, with promises of high-paying jobs before forcing them into pornography, was exposed.

The programme is the latest shocking and gory offering from Netflix. The platform has faced criticism over its increasingly X-rated programming, with ‘soft porn’ series Sex/Life, film 365 DNI, which glorifies kidnapping, and bodice-ripper Madame Claude, all being promoted. The thrilling South Korean drama Extracurricular could be set to follow in the footsteps of the blockbuster success of Squid Game The series begins with parentless Ji-soo, who is working on the chatrooms alongside a man called Mr Lee, because he is determined to earn enough to fund college education.Meanwhile Min-hee is one of his sex workers, though she does not know ‘Uncle’ is actually her classmate.Within minutes of the first episode, one of the teenage sex workers is seen gagged and tied up in a brothel where she is threatened by a client with a pair of scissors.

She is forced to call for help using a wristband which sends a message to Ji-soo, who then alerts Mr Lee and asks him to deal with the ‘dirtbag’.A fight ensues and Mr Lee stabs the client in the foot with the scissors.

The series bears shocking similarities to the Nth Room case, which was a major news story in South Korea last year after an infamous online chat room that lured young women, including minors, with promises of high-paying jobs before forcing them into pornography, was exposed (pictured, Cho Ju-Bin, who was the mastermind behind the sex abuse ring) Elsewhere during the first episode, Ji-soo’s school crush Gyu-ri steals his business phone, finds the password and discovers his secret. She begins to blackmail him, dreaming of a life away from her wealthy parents, who want her to take over the family business. The two eventually start to work together on the business and navigate the dirty world of online sex trafficking while keeping their extracurricular activities secret They’re almost outed when a police officer comes to school and begins to question the students about the illegal online chatrooms.

Meanwhile the pair are also involved in a hefty brawl with Dae-yeol, the owner of a brothel, in which Mr Lee is bloodily stabbed with an axe to the back. The ‘Nth Room’ case is a criminal case involving blackmail, cybersex trafficking, and the spread of sexually exploitative videos via the Telegram app between 2018 and 2020 in South Korea.Moon Hyung-Wook, nicknamed god god, sold sexual exploitation videos on Telegram channels and groups.A copycat crime, known as the ‘Doctor’s Room’, was operated by Cho Joo-bin, 24, using the screen name Doctor, who is accused of blackmailing dozens of women, forcing them to take sexually exploitative videos, with some involving rape. The number of confirmed victims is at least 103, including 26 minors. It was revealed that the victims’ pictures were shared and sold to over 260,000 IDs (narrowed down to about 60,000 users, taking into consideration overlapping profiles) and were anonymously paid for in cryptocurrency.

Cameras follow each twist and turn of the drama, including a shocking scene in which Dae-yeol’s men torture Ji-soo and threaten to saw off his arm. However the final episodes of the season are particularly gory, with Gyu-ri stabbing the gangster Dae-yeol multiple times and an enormous fight breaking out which sees high schoolers beating nightclub workers with metal pipes and bats. The episode finishes as Dae-yeol and Mr.Lee fight on the roof, eventually killing each other. They’re later discovered by police in puddles of blood.Much like Squid Game, the finale is shockingly violent, with several fights depicted; including one in which Ji-soo pushes Min-hee down the stairs after she threatens to explose secret.Meanwhile after discovering Min-hee’s phone covered in blood, her boyfriend stabs Ji-soo multiple times with a pair of scissors.

The series bears many similarities to the Nth Room case, which triggered intense public uproar last year as critics said the South Korean culture is lenient about sexual violence and continuously fails the victims. The case saw a user nicknamed ‘God God,’ who was later identified as Moon Hyung-Wook created eight groups online, and uploaded sexually exploitative pornography.Another user nicknamed ‘Doctor’ posted part-time job offerings on Twitter, seeking to gather personal information from girls who applied. In the ‘Doctor’s Room’, the sexually exploitative pornography was distributed via a Telegram chatroom and was only accessible via a cryptocurrency payment.Doctor was later unmasked as Cho Joo-bin, 24, who was the editor of the newspaper at a vocational college in Incheon, west of Seoul. He was the leader of a group of men who ran a clandestine online chat room in which they shared and traded sexually explicit footage. Those in his gang included other men in their 20s and teenagers.

Between May 2019 and February 2020, Mr.

Cho exploited 17 female victims for profit, circulating the footage in members-only chat rooms that he operated on Telegram, an encrypted messaging service popular in South Korea.Under the nickname ‘The Doctor,’ Cho allegedly operated one of the biggest chatrooms, with around 10,000 users.Within minutes of the first episode, one of the teenage sex workers is seen gagged and tied up in a brothel where she is threatened by a client with a pair of scissors (pictured) He is suspected of using private information he secured from workers at local government offices to blackmail victims lured through fake job ads, forcing them to create sexually explicit videos that sometimes involved rape and violence. He would then threaten to release the clips to friends and relatives if they victims didn’t supply increasingly dehumanizing and violent footage, often tailor-made for customers.Mr.Cho once forced a 15-year-old girl to meet a paid customer to perform sex acts, prosecutors said.

He was eventually tracked down by police. While police usually don´t release the identities of criminal suspects out of respect of their rights, they made an exception with Cho by revealing his full name and displaying him in front of the media, saying that his alleged crime was particularly heinous.Police, who seized about 130 million won ($105,000) in cash from Cho´s house following his arrest, said his customers could have paid as much as 1.5 million won ($1,200) in cryptocurrency to watch the videos. After he was arrested, Mr.Cho told reporters, ‘Thank you for stopping my life as a devil that I could not stop.’ Much like Squid Game, the programme also features extreme violence including a moment where teenagers use bats and metal pipes to beat nightclub workers Meanwhile his customers turned themselves in to the police, while, according to local news reports, one killed himself. He was then sentenced to 40 years in prison on charges of blackmailing dozens of women, including minors, into filming sexually explicit videos and selling them to others. The court ruled Cho ‘used various methods to lure and blackmail a large number of victims into making sexually abusive contents and distributed them to many people for an extended period.

‘He particularly disclosed the identities of many victims and inflicted irreparable damage to them.’ Much like Squid Game, the finale is shockingly violent, with several fights depicted; including one in which a character is pushed down the head and smashes her head, and another in which Ji-soo is stabbed multiple times with a pair of scissors Prosecutors formally arrested or indicted Cho and seven accomplices for allegedly producing sexually abusive videos of 74 victims, 16 of them minors, and distributing them on the Telegram messaging app, where users paid in cryptocurrency to watch them in 2019-2020.A prosecutors´ statement called Cho´s group ‘a criminal ring’ of 38 members. On Thursday, the Seoul court sentenced five of Cho´s accomplices, one of them a 16-year-old, up to 15 years in prison.

South Korea for years has struggled to deal with what the government describes as ‘digital sex crimes,’ which aside from the abusive chatrooms also include the spread of intimate photos and videos taken by smartphones or tiny spy cameras hidden in public spaces and buildings, an issue that triggered massive protests in 2018.Squid Game is estimated to be worth almost $US900 million for Netflix, making it the biggest show in the streaming platform’s history. The Justice Ministry issued an apology over what it described as a years-long failure by the legal system to properly respond to such crimes and said it would ’employ all possible efforts’ to fully track down the chatroom operators and users, ensure stern punishment and reclaim any financial gains from the videos.

Meanwhile, Squid Game is estimated to be worth almost $US900 million for Netflix, making it the biggest show in the streaming platform’s history.

The nine-episode thriller, in which cash-strapped contestants play childhood games with deadly consequences in a bid to win 45.6 billion won, became an international hit when it launched last month. In comparison to its estimated net worth, the show cost just $US21.4 million ($A28.8 million) to produce, Bloomberg said.According to the report, about 132 million people had watched at least two minutes of the show in its first 23 days, easily breaking the record set by UK costume drama Bridgerton, which was streamed by 82 million accounts in its first 28 days.Melissa Henson, programme director of the Parents Television and Media Council, which advocates for responsible entertainment previously told FEMAIL: ‘Netflix originals are almost universally worse than their licensed content — more violent, more sexualized, more profane — which would be less of a problem if they just left those titles out there for viewers who are seeking that kind of content to discover.

‘The problem I’m having is Netflix’s aggressive, in-your-face marketing of this content to all of their subscribers.’Even if nothing in the subscriber’s viewing history would suggest that this is a program they’d be interested in, it’s the first thing they see when they launch the app.’Parents just better hope their kids aren’t around when they launch Netflix, because the first thing they’ll see is streaks of blood under a dead body that is being dragged along the ground.’ With a slew of raunchy TV shows featuring full frontal nudity, bondage and self pleasure, Netflix is fast gaining a reputation for racy content that wouldn’t be out of place on adult websites. The streaming giant has filled our small screens with extremely erotic options – from the slightly more innocent, yet oh-so popular Bridgerton (which boasts plenty of steamy romantic entanglements) to the 2021 drama Sex/Life, which was dubbed ‘eight hours of sha****g’.Reality TV show Too Hot to Handle and Mexican drama Dark Desire about a married mother who has a weekend of passion with a 23-year-old are equally daring and scandalous.

Here, FEMAIL reveals six of the raunchiest TV shows released by the streaming service in recent months.Sex/Life Netflix’s saucy series Sex/Life is based around suburban mother-of-two Billie (Sarah Shahi) who is involved in a love triangle with her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) and old flame from her past, Brad Simon (Adam Demos), pictured In one raunchy moment, Cooper follows his wife’s lover to the gym and spies on him as he goes into the shower. But fans were left completely gobsmacked after gorgeous Brad turns towards the camera completely nude (pictured) WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT: Netflix’s saucy series Sex/Life is based around suburban mother-of-two Billie (Sarah Shahi) who is involved in a love triangle with her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) and old flame from her past, Brad Simon (Adam Demos). The show, which sees Billie fantasise about her former partner before leading to some very wild sex scenes, is based on BB Easton’s novel, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, and was filmed in Canada.A blurb for the book reads: ‘No one and nothing is off limits as BB revisits the ex-boyfriends – a sadistic tattoo artist, a punk rock parolee, and a heavy metal bass player – that led her to finally find true love with a straight-laced, drop-dead-gorgeous…

accountant.’ THE RACY SCENES: Fittingly for a show with this title, the opening minutes see a flashback of Billie and Brad having sex in a nightclub.Billie leads Brad off the dance floor and into a private room where they get intimate – knowing there is a roomful of clubbers just a few feet away. Also in the first episode, Billie has a flashback to when she worked through the Kama Sutra with Brad. The show does not shy away from giving viewers a glimpse of some of the sexual positions involved, and also shows Brad performing oral sex.The sex-filled first hour continues with another character, Sasha, performing oral sex on a musician in a grungy nightclub moments after meeting.

Later Billie flashes back to her first night with Brad, which saw them having sex in his penthouse pool.

The couple also have sex in a car.A pool also appears when Billie and her husband Cooper have sex in a stranger’s house in the middle of the night. In another raunchy moment, Cooper follows his wife’s lover to the gym and spies on him as he goes into the shower. But fans were left completely gobsmacked after gorgeous Brad turns towards the camera completely nude.

Elsewhere, there are saucy flashbacks to Billie’s wild party days, where snogging and rampant romps were plentiful. She’s seen engaging in neon-lit sex in pools with her former lover, and being pushing up against corridors in racy trysts – all in just eight episodes. After no doubt catching the eye of all Sex/Life viewers, Adam spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his full-frontal scene.’I was okay with it because you read the script and know what you’re getting yourself into from the start, so I don’t think you would sign on to a show after reading the scripts and then say no last minute,’ he said. Some on Twitter joked the new show makes Netflix’s steamy period romance series Bridgerton seem almost prudish by comparison.

However, one reviewer, via The Guardian commented: ‘Eight episodes of shagging strung together with the occasional splash of melodrama.’ Too Hot To Handle Last series (pictured), competitors from across the globe entered a luxury villa in Mexico and 10 stars of the show managed to make it to the final and split the $75,000 prize WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT: The Netflix dating show, which is currently in its second series, promises a string of attractive contestants $100,000 – but only if they have no sexual contact with each other for four weeks.Unlike it’s ITV2 counterpart Love Island, the show only rewards contestants if they are able to resist any form of physical contact, including kissing and caressing. If the singletons fail to follow the strict no-petting rule the total of their prize fund will drop and the rule break will be announced to the group. But – as the voiceover constantly reminds viewers – these are a group of ‘horny’ singletons who just can’t keep their hands off each other…so there are plenty of steamy moments in the bathroom, on the beach and in the Big Brother-style communal bedroom.

THE RACY SCENES: Within hours of arriving at the sun-soaked paradise villa, the newly introduced singletons were busy commenting on each other’s assets, deciding who they would like to pair up with and even grabbing a cheeky kiss here and there. They broke the rules within minutes with couple’s sneaking off to share passionate kisses in their swimwear.

The rule-breaking cost the group $21,000 of their prize fund.First to break the rules was Cam, from Wales, and London stunner Emily, who sneaked a kiss on the beach after their sexual tension got too much for them. But once the rest of the group discovered their antics, it opened the floodgates for everyone – and soon the other contestants were locking lips too.The previous series of the Netflix show saw the singletons perform raunchy dances for each other and even led to one couple having sex on screen.

The competitors from across the globe entered a luxury villa in Mexico and 10 stars of the show managed to make it to the final and split the $75,000 prize. While the total dwindled thanks to a number of rule breaks from randy contestants, the singletons were later given the chance to win back the money.

Bridgerton Within the first twenty minutes of the eight hour long series, Anthony Bridgerton – brother of protagonist Daphne – romps with a beautiful opera singer Siena (pictured together) against a tree WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT: Netflix’s Regency-era romp Bridgerton has become a hit with viewers, at least partly for its raunchy sex scenes. In the main the series follows Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) as they enter a complicated relationship with plenty of twists – and sexual tension.Alongside that there are the love stories of other couples, including Daphne’s brother Anthony Bridgerton, who is in love with a courtesan opera singer.THE RACY SCENES: The series was praised for a larger number of its sex scenes focusing on female pleasure, while critics suggested their were too many steamy moments for a period drama.Within the first twenty minutes of the eight hour long series, Anthony Bridgerton – brother of protagonist Daphne – romps with a beautiful opera singer Siena against a tree. There are at least 12 different sexual acts across eight episodes – from innocent snogging to daring oral sex, with one fan-favourite moment being between Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) on the stairs.

The Duke of Hastings also performs oral sex on Daphne in the library of a country home during a sex-filled montage in episode six.

The couple also had sex in the garden, in an inn while travelling and had steamy sex in the Duke’s master bedroom. There was also a controversial scene where Daphne refused to let the Duke pull out before climaxing, so that she could fall pregnant with his child. So raunchy were some moments that Netflix reportedly had to fight to keep the sex scenes off porn websites, after the news distressed castmembers.

The streaming giant had thought to have been ‘working tirelessly to hunt down pirates’ who uploaded the more intimate moments from the show, reports The Sun.At the time, it was understood that many of the scenes had already been taken down from X-rated platforms after the cast were left feeling ‘horror and anger’ at seeing them online.
