On 21st July, Tron [TRX] introduced their new project ‘TronLink’ a browser extension to power up the accessibility of Tron’s blockchain.
Tron Foundation, the official account of Tron tweeted:
“Check out Tronlink, the Chrome extension built by @TronWatch! Developers will now be able to create and interact with DApps from a browser, a major step before our Virtual Machine Testnet launch on July 30! Stay tuned”
As per Tron’s explanation on their official blog, TronLink is:
“Ticket into the land of decentralized applications on the Tron blockchain.”
TronLink gives its users easy access to the Tron Blockchain as it introduces seamless usage. Being a browser extension, TronLink has the capability to connect with the content on the Tron website and perform secure actions.

The extension allows users to send, receive and sign transactions without any hassle.

The desktop wallet functions are reciprocated by the TronLink as it offers a concise yet elaborated developer API for Tron applications. TronLink uses robust encryption to secure its users’ wallets so that no third party will be able to breach it. Irrespective of the amount settled in accounts of the users, Tron ensures its safety. The users have the option of importing existing accounts while they still retain the ability to generate additional accounts.
In short, TronLink provides websites with an easy to use developer interface that enables the ability to directly interact with smart contracts on the Tron blockchain.

Through TronLink, developers will be able to use the API provided, to request the signing and broadcasting of transactions. Developers can also call proxied node API calls selected by the user as opposed to having to directly interface with nodes.

Tron in their blogs state:
“TronLink provides similar usage to the Tron Network as MetaMask does with the Ethereum Network. Developers will now be able to create and interact with DApps in the browser which opens up a whole new realm that Tron has never seen before.”
Tron confirms that its users through TronLink can see applications, sites, games and more all fueled by Tron’s Blockchain. It acts as a secured bridge between their platform and the user, as it connects them safely and easily.
Tron has given an example for the use case of TronLink, they said, “Imagine if you went to a Representatives webpage and you see a button that says ‘Vote’.”
Further, they explained that through the integration of TronLink the developers are able to embed voting functions instantly into the web page.

One does not need to manually coordinate sites when a jump can directly lead to the result. As the vote button will be right there, in the browser extension.

CryptoZ, a Twitter user said:
“Wait wait wait wait, VM testnet was launched over a month ago, I thought this VM was the better, full fledged version?”
Lloyd Ress, another crypto-enthusiast said:
“no one can advertise their products as good as tron does”
Tron also stated that the team is currently focusing on developing tools for the launch of the Tron Virtual Machine [TVM] which is scheduled to release by end of July. .
