We stand united with the heroes of Ukraine, who have forced Mr.Putin to the negotiations table, through their brave deeds and sacrifices.It has continued to amaze the world, to be watching a smaller Nation stand up to Tyranny of the larger State.
Heroism in this war has been in abundant supply.The Ukrainian people and their leaders have stood tall against Russian Imperialism.
We should and do support their efforts in the only way we really can, and that effort has added massive pressure on Mr.Putin to come to the table.
Interest rates soared in Russia today.Their Stock Markets are closed after losing nearly half its Market Cap last week.The World is shutting down their means of doing business.
Their economy is already being affected.Russian citizens themselves are taking to the streets in protest of what their own government is doing.That would be unimaginable a very short time ago.
This is all happening in a matter of days.
This World War is being fought on the ground in Ukraine.By Heroes.
We are not heroes in that sense.Let’s be clear about the difference.
However, the Web3 Army of millions, if not billions, of peaceful citizens who have taken to the battlefield in the only way possible, and perhaps, most constructive.
The pressures the W3 Army has brought down on Russia has caught Putin by surprise, which is in itself a little surprising.But it did.
How rapid the W3 Army mobilized and started causing pain on Russia’s military plans was stunning.
The flow of support from Web3 to Ukraine has been brought about because of the immediacy of Web3 era communications and impactful engagement.
Crowdfunded Crypto-currency campaigns are flooding Ukraine with much needed financial resources to wage war.And win.
The morale boost to the brave fighters in Ukraine associated with the knowledge that the world is behind them.As communicated to them through their iPhone.And through which the Ukrainians are showing the world what is happening, as it happens.Their stand matters and we support them, which in turns helps them make the stand.
Freedom is facilitated by Freedom.The more Freedom we witness in the unleashed 2-way Web3 communication channels like Twitter, the more Freedom loving peoples from all over the World unite against Tyranny.
And the Web3 Army Moved Fast.
Like the Blitzkreig tactics that Putin himself thought would work with his strike against Ukraine.Sorry, Vlad.Not this time.
We see your Blitzkreig and raise you one Anonymous Army of 7.4M soldiers ready to join the fight against persecution caused by your Nation State.
Add to that the billions of people around the world who now have Cellular Social connectivity and Metamask wallets and you have a potent Global Ally in this war against Mr.Putin, who is looking really isolated by his own actions.
And by the way, today it is Putin and Russia.Tomorrow it could be any power hungry imperialistic Nation State that decides to exert its will on another people.Take note, World Leaders.
Your actions have consequences and we will be here to make sure you feel the full weight of your own decisions.
Without the incredible stand the Ukraine people have made over the weekend, none of this matters.But, they did stand.And we stood with them.
And now Putin is at the table.
We will deconstruct what is going on here later, in the comfort of historical analysis.Right now, this is burning hot and we are engaged as a unified people in the support of Ukraine and Freedom.
As we look back on these tumultuous times, we may realize that what we are calling Web3 is much more than a bunch of cell phones and Twitter.
It is Power.The Power of People all all levels, wealth and political stature to positively affect outcomes.A Power which historically has been left to centralized Government structures to resolve.Often to the detriment of the People.
