Amazon MGM Studios Would you believe that it’s a coincidence that the two major additions to Amazon Prime Video this week both have the word “house” in their names? It’s true, and everyone expected Road House to debut at the top of the charts, since it’s Prime Video’s most prominent original movie of the month.It was more of a surprise to see the 2012 action thriller Safe House emerge as one of the most popular movies on Prime Video this week.Although considering that Safe House had Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in the leading roles, perhaps we shouldn’t be too shocked.
March has been a strong month for Prime Video’s original films, including the documentary Frida and the R-rated comedy Ricky Stanicky .Hopefully, April’s lineup will be equally impactful.
